Triage is probably your best approach. Even then I'm not going to lie, it's going to be a very hard month for you. I don't know how much of this you already do but I'm writing it all as it comes to mind.

BUDGETING/SAVING:

  1. Make a list of every expense you will be paying. Be very detail oriented because every penny will count.
  2. Cross out everything that is a luxury. (Clothes, books, snacks like chips or soda, brand name foods, anything but basic internet and phone and only so the jobs you are looking for can contact you... actually ditch the internet and use your local library to check email and send job inquiries. Keep the phone.) Think basics water, food, shelter.
  3. Plot out when you need to pay the remaining things and write it down.
  4. Look at what you have and plot out meals to last as long as possible. This will mean having smaller meals/less meals. Likewise decide how much you can afford per meal before the next step.
  5. When you next shop use every freaking coupon you can find. Bring paper with you and do the math of cost per meal at the store. Shop the sale area (sometimes near the back of the store) and ask if you don't see it.
  6. Look around your place and craigslist any furniture possible. Rarely used items as well honestly.
  7. If you have air conditioning/heating. Turn it off and use blankets or fans/windows unless you are turning purple from cold or getting heat stroke.
  8. Pause to think before turning anything on/ use any resource.

LOOK UP: -Food banks near you and their policies -Social Services in your area (Longer term starting points) Food Stamps HUD

Ahh sorry didn't know the country. Ignore links then.

As for the housing. I'll say this about it: the dangers of housing are less than the dangers of the street. At this point it doesn't sound like you can afford to be picky, so at least look into it.

  • Communal cuisine (or kitchen) are amazing. You basically pay a small amount of money to make different dishes. Everyone give a bit and share the meals (it lasts quite a bit).
  • Housing wise, getting a roomie can be an interesting alternative. You can also try and seek a COOP (which is where everyone share chores and such and the rent is cheaper).
  • Seek alternative with the bills you are unable to pay. Call the companies, explain. It sounds weird as fuck but I've been there and .. it works 2 out of 3 times.

It's a lot of self-restrain, but it will have to do until you get another job. Good luck!

Ok I'm going to bite... why do you need to live alone when you have two bedrooms?

I'm a loner and I need my own space. I hate when people go in and out constantly at all times during the night, bringing friends over, parties, ect.

I'm an introvert and wouldn't want anyone to mess my place up.

Ahhh then it's a want rather than a need. It'd be worth considering even if it's not ideal for your tastes.

If you are close to possibly being home/cant afford food/pay your bills, you might want to rethink having a roommate, there are people out there who are introverts as well looking for a place to rent and having a roommate could very well solve all of your money problems by giving your that few extra hundred a month. Make a contract and get them to read over it and sign it. Not all roommates are terrible. Id rather have a roommate and money to buy groceries and pay my bills with than to live in a cold empty apartment starving. Just saying

, not sure which province you reside in, but re food troubles, have you considered a not-for-profit food exchange program? (BC has Quest, where you can buy food for half the price). I found this link while checking if Quest was Canada-Wide or just BC (It's just BC, but hopefully the site will help): canadian helpful agencies
As for rent woes, your options are limited. Maybe look for a one bedroom instead? Or, as much as you hate to hear it, a roommate would help with some of the costs. You can advertise at colleges and other place that you want a quiet roommate, heck even say "Introvert would be most welcome". I know it's loathe to live with the roulette of roommates, believe me I've been there (and currently am actually) but I found that those who are students are very much introverted (or have no time/interest to distract themselves with parties or other people).

Other than that, hugs and good luck.
